if you want to see Joseph Gordon Levitt ACT, you definitely need to see his crazy intense INSANE portrayal of the character he IS in the movie “Hesher”. It’s a dark, overwhelming and strange movie, also starring a frumpy looking Natalie Portman (how they managed to do that is amazing too) and Rainn Wilson (i hope i am recalling the name correctly) from ‘the Office’ as a very different character than he usually portrays as well. Everyone in this movie is dealing with intense loss, or feeling, so its not a pleasant movie to watch … but if you let it, you WILL be moved by the movie. It’s depressing, and oddly uplifting. It’s not a perfect movie by any stretch … but i would not change a thing. Check it out!

      Hi John!

Hope all is well. I responded to your post earlier today (in comments section of Episode 31) but I’m guessing you did not see it, so I decided to post here as well. I have not seen Johnny Suede, but looks like a fun movie. The user reviews on IMDB seem pretty positive. I’m having trouble getting my hands on a copy of this movie but will try my hardest to see it soon. Thanks for the recommendation and hope you enjoy your Holiday Season!

      Cheers~ Ted

      Hi John,

I wound up finding Johnny Suede on Netflix and just finished watching it. I plan on talking about it on our next show currently scheduled this Friday. I was a little unsure if I was going to like this movie, but I must say I was pleasantly surprised. I smiled a lot throughout movie. Thanks for the recommendation and hope you have a great one!

      Cheers~ Ted
