Episode 24: Deja Vu and Tanlines

Show Notes:

We apologize for the crappy sound quality of this episode. Ted screwed the pooch and had the mic setting set to his laptop not the mixing board.  Other than that it is a stellar episode where the guys discuss the past month’s happenings, vacation, near death experiences, the joy of side-boob, and weekly “Rooster” call.

Movies:
Resident Evil Retribution, Contraband, Hotel Transylvania, Three O’Clock High

Polished Turd:
Whiteout

i LAUGHED out loud at the side-boob segment. and i was at work listening at the time. 😀

i heartily agree!!! side-boobage definitely rules LOL

Did either of you see Looper? it was alright, and i was somewhat impressed by it as a decent science fiction story with lots of polish – but i must admit it got a bit stranger as it went along…

the reveal about the young boy was … unexpected and strange … and things are still left unresolved at the end, other than the main character’s story

also, Ted, heard the the little bit about you watching “the Guild” … i’m a HUGE fan of that and her Geek & Sundry channel on YouTube. Felicia Day is so very talented and i follow all of her work. Saw episode 1 & 2 of Season 6 so far and its really great! i have seen all of the seasons many, many times… great cast! VERY funny stuff, offbeat and oddball but endearing characters and stories. Kev you should definitely check it out too!

Just watched ‘Snow White and The Huntsman’ … To an extent it reminded me of Willow, without the elements that made Willow such a fun fantasy movie. This had some really great elements, but the overall feel of the movie, upon reaching the end was slightly underwhelming. It looked great, had some good acting, pretty great cast … but i think the story and overall plot development was too rudimentary and ambiguous for a high fantasy setting of such a familiar tale. I’d like to see the Extended edition before i render a final verdict, but like the reboot of Clash of the Titans for example, i had SO high expectations that just were not fully met… I also think that the lead actress, though popular for being in Twilight series, etc. is .. well, just not Snow White. she is too thin and her temperament and attitude don’t fit … snow White should be beautiful but above all graceful and certainly not full of angst… Just my opinion and interpretation of the classic tale.

    Hi Jason,

Thanks for enduring the shitty quality of the last episode, you are THE MAN! I completely concur Side Boobage Rules!

Kev – saw Looper and liked it but didn’t love it. I think he was a little disappointing by it. I think I will wait until DVD to catch it.

Regarding “The Guild” – I Fucking Love that show! I did watch the first episode of the new season, but I think I’m gonna exercise some restraint and wait until the entire season has wrapped and watch it all at once!

Snow White and the Huntsman – Agreed Kristin Stewart was pretty weak as snow white and should definitely not be angst ridden! I suppose it really doesn’t matter when you are queen of the box office and you’re a home wrecker!
